EPJ Literacy & Fitness Academy

Earth’s Precious Jewels Literacy & Fitness Academy is a black-owned daycare that opened in November of 2018. Earth’s Precious Jewels caters to preschool-aged children from 2 1/2 to 5 years old with a strong emphasis on reading and literacy skills, and a secondary focus on health & wellness. Our curriculum is centered around components that prepare your child to be on or above grade level when entering kindergarten. Earth’s Precious Jewels is located in the heart of St. Bernard on Vine St. minutes away from surrounding communities; Avondale, Clifton, Bond Hill, Elmwood Place, and Winton Terrace. We accept vouchers through Hamilton County, and we are in the process of submitting our application to receive our 1st star for Step Up To Quality. At Earth’s Precious Jewels we know how much your child(ren) means to you. We go the extra mile to place cameras throughout our center so you feel safe knowing that you can log in from your smartphone and watch a live stream of your child at any time. Earth’s Precious Jewels was founded in 2013. Since founded we created a non-profit organization in 2014 (Earth’s Precious Jewels Literacy Foundation) to help encourage and promote reading to families and children. Through our non-profit we were able to: – Help 3rd-grade students at a before and after school program in Mt. Healthy South Elementary prepare for Ohio standardized tests. – We spent two years at Mt. Airy elementary in a program titled Reading All-Stars where we prepared 2nd-grade students that struggled in reading. – In Lincoln Heights, we were able to donate a laptop as an award to the Uplift my community contest. This was a contest where teenagers living in Lincoln Heights had to participate in an essay writing contest writing about how they could change their community. – Our non-profit also helps with books, equipment, and online software & programs to continue our daily mission in our preschool from day-to-day learning and operations. We hope that we will have the opportunity to help mold and develop your child but more importantly prepare them for a prosperous future.
